Community Block Party Marks Official Grand Opening of Renaissance Park

Raleigh, N.C., August 27, 2007—Renaissance Park, a new Wakefield Development Company master-planned community located just minutes from downtown Raleigh, celebrated its grand opening with a carnival-themed block party this past Saturday, August 25. The event featured a live remote by G105, and appearances by Cotton the Clown and a stilt-walker. Guests were also able to enter to win raffle prizes, including a digital camera and several iPods.

“This weekend provided an opportunity to showcase the community’s distinct city vibe in a friendly neighborhood setting,” said John Myers, president of Wakefield Development Company. “We could not have asked for a more enthusiastic response, and look forward to the continued growth of Renaissance Park.”

Possessing the desirable amenities characteristic of a Wakefield Development Company master-planned community, Renaissance Park distinguishes itself by incorporating innovative technology and Wi-Fi access scattered throughout the community. A selection of Federal-style townhomes priced from the $190s and single-family homes priced from the mid-$200s will offer truly individualized living spaces. In addition, over 380,000 square feet of retail space has been reserved for a commercial district within the community.

The Welcome Center complex includes a 7,000 square-foot clubhouse with a state-of-the-art fitness center, lighted tennis courts, full-service business center, sand volleyball, a large pool with 4,500 square feet of water surface and a playground.
